We were a part of 6 on a Saturday night. First we had to wait until we were seated in a "comfortable" booth which one of us wound up having to sit partially at the end of the booth and none of us is over-sized. The noise was unbelievably loud and the service was lacking. Shame on us for not asking the price of an "appetizer" romaine with some crab and shrimp on top - $25.00. Were were flabbergasted at the bill and the waitress didn't even thank us. We complained on our way out and the owner didn't even apologize. NEVER AGAIN!!

Had the greatest dinner of our lives. The appetizer grilled romaine salad was full of jumbo shrimp & golf ball sized lumps of crabmeat...the fresh fish was to die for...braised short ribs with scallops...my friend is still talking about them. If you are looking for the greatest meal of your life, eat at Joe Pesce.

The food was ok, nothing to write home about. But the noise was too much, could not even hear ourself talk. I thought I was at a fish market, not only did they bang every pot and pan, but droping plates and hollaring seem to be the norm. Everyone sits on top of each other and there is no privacy. I would not pay the price to sit in a cramp space ever again.

Food and service was top notch considering the volume of people eating there. Meatball appetizer was the best and the fresh fish (Baramondi) recommended by the female server and the maitre d' was by far one of the best fish I have had in a long time. KUDOS.

We had gone out during restaurant week with the anticipation of the restaurant not being consistent with its norm. HOW WRONG WE WERE. First 2(Handsome Tan) owners are on hand keeping an eye to meet expectations. The menu itself offered the $30.00 three course meal which was a nice variety on its own, without the additions of Whole fish, (which I had) which was excellent and also seperate varieties of specials as well. Our server was well versed on the whole menu and described it flawlessly as my friends all raved from apps until dessert. And she also replenished silverware each course as well as wine and water. GREAT JOB GUYS.

My partner and I arrived last week not knowing what to expect out of this relatively new eatery on Haddon Ave. Collingswood's "restaraunt row" is growing quite a reputatation and after this stop I know why. This tiny treasure of a place offers excellent food, top shelf service, and affordability thanks to Collingswood drytown status. We were greeted by the maitre d' Chris who made us feel as if he invited us to dinner at his home. We then were recommended the fresh fish by our server Bethanne who was very friendly and knowledgable. The walk down Haddon Ave onto Grooveground for coffee and dessert sealed the deal on a wonderful evening in Collingswood that we hope to replicate soon.

What a fabulous restaurant and Chris Grasso is the best! We have a dinner club of 8 and this was the best place yet. Food and service was perfect. Couldn't have asked for a nicer evening.

I had a perfect meal on a bustling Friday night with my girlfriends. Chris was very charming and extremely informatable in regards to the fish market available for the evening. It was my friend's birthday and the staff could not go out of their way to make sure her/our time was exceptionable. I had the Durodo, and we also split the Signature Grilled Romaine Salad. Can't wait to get back.

A "must" for date night or girls night out. We were greeted by Chris who was friendly and seated us at a very spacious table. He was very knowledgable about the selection of fish. Not being someone that eats fish, I thought that this was going to be difficult. I explained my likes and dislikes and Chris suggested that they make me a chicken dish that was not on the menu. WOW! My meal was YUMMO! My husband enjoyed the crab claws for an appetizer and the pompano fish (which Chris deboned right at our table), which he said was very flavorful. Kudos to our server Jen, who catered to us like royalty. Great job guys! We'll be back soon. Thank you to the entire JP staff :)

Went new yrs eve, and had one of the best Stuffed Lobsters. Restaurant was jam packed, but yet the service from everyone was exceptional. Highly recommend shrimp wrapped in bacon appetizer, and save room for the carrot cake. Real winner of a place.

Had dinner on a very busy Wednesday evening with 2 other couples and whole dinner was amazing, starting from Jessica our server to the food, Short Rib Crostini as an appetizer and Branzino grilled for dinner. Definitely will make a point to return.

Joe Pesce, best restaurant on Collingswood Rest Row. Place has quaint beach cottage atmosphere, and service and food are dynamite. Chris is a gracious host and Joe's menu is solid.

What a combination, Joe Tucker in the kitchen and Chris on crowd control. We waited a little for our table, but was well worth the wait. Lagostino appetizer - pricy but delicious, and then per recommendation by Nina our server, tried the Strawberry Grouper - which was fresh and also delicious. Can't wait to get back.

Took my wife out during the week to Joe Pesce not realizing it was Restaurant Week. I usually am disappointed in limited menus, but the guys and girls at Pesce made sure I was well satisfield. I had Romaine Salad which was bangin; then had Tuna perfectly seared; big Chocolate Cake for dessert rounded out meal. Wow.

Should have read the reviews first. Not only was the romaine salad "way" overpriced, ours was not even washed before it was grilled; lots of sand!!! That was after we had to return our dirty bread plates that were disgustingly dirty. Waitresses were excellent!!!(hope they are paid well, they did a good job covering for the ones in charge). Manager or owner was extremely rude and obnoxious; NO "class" The lobster was overcooked, whole bronzino decent, roasted peppers out of jar, all in all "way" too overpriced for the mediocre food and obnoxious person in charge. Good luck to the waitresses who have to work there!!

Joe Pesce is a must, whether it be for Mother's Day or any other for that matter. My daughter had recommended to take me there and it was the best option. The host was very cordial and educational on the varied selection of fish. I had the Dover sole, which was spot on. We all had such a great time, that I had purchased a gift certificate to give to my sister. Thanks Joe Pesce.

This was the worst place I have ever been to. I agree with the "appetizer" romaine with crab meat. My family bit into this salad with the taste of never been washed lettuce. Come to find out this salad was $25.00. What a disgrace. We had dirty dishes on top of this horror. There are so many smaller places to eat at. This is not the one!!!

I go to Joe Pesce once a month and had never seen anything remotely dirty in the establishment. I always start with the romaine salad and get one of the fresh fish of the day. My initial writing was to rave about the John Dory I had for (2) the last time I was there, but noticing that it appears that family had such a bad time. Maybe they should stick to the (cheap, bland) restaurants they are used to.

Went to Joe Pesce during May-Fair twice. Stopped at the tent set up and had crab cake sandwich and BBQ shrimp skewer. Had to go back for dinner. Roasted beets for an appetizer, 1/2 order of the best crab mac and cheese and then had the freshest black bass for an entree. Service and food were both excellent.

When we have the opportunity of getting a baby sitter, there is only one destination, Joe Pesce. We always try different varieties of fish recommended by either Chris or one of the servers. My latest try was Pink Peruvian Trout, which was spot on. Had Ceviche made with Red Snapper and also Mixed Berries for dessert. Samantha took great care of us.

Went to Pesce Valentine's Day Weekend with my boyfrind and we had a great time. We had a little bit of a wait, but it was well worth it. I tried an appetizer called Red Mullit which was awesome. Then my boyfriend had a stuffed lobster and I had a filet mignon. Perfect combo. Little pricey, but well worth it.

My husband and I both enjoy dining at Joe Pesce. From the moment you enter this intimate establishment, you are made to feel welcome by both the staff and Joe himself. He takes the time to greet his "guests" at their table, and explain in detail what the chef has prepared for that days menu. Excellent. Everything is always fresh, and tastefully prepared and presented. The waitstaff are a wonderful group of young people, who have obviously been trained to be attentive and anticipatory of each guests needs. We have never felt rushed or ignored on even their busiest Saturday evening. Dinner and desert prices are fair. The BYO is always easiest. The only negative comment I might make is that the delicious Grilled Romaine with Crab and Shrimp for two was perfect, the $25 charge was a little too steep. Perhaps that detail can be reworked in the future. Hope to see you next time!
